1909

McMahon Associates, Inc. is founded by A.E. McMahon, and begins providing Civil Engineering Services to its clients.

1972

Robert McMahon becomes President of his father's company.

1984

Previous owners begin an ownership transition process by promoting
Denny J. Lamers to Vice President of the Corporation, who begins to reorganize company management.

1985

The ownership transition is completed with the buyout of Robert McMahon's stock.  Denny J. Lamers is named President and Chief Executive Officer.  The company's sales for engineering and design services total $1.3-Million annual at this point, with a staff of thirty.

1987

The second element of what has become the McMahon Group is initiated with the incorporation of Midwest Contract Operations, Inc. (MCO).  The first major client is the Neenah-Menasha Sewerage Commission.  Since their beginning, MCO has grown into a major player in the Midwest for Contract Operations and management of small to major municipally-owned facilities.  MCO currently has contracts in Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.

1989

The McMahon Group grows, once again, when an office in Valparaiso, Indiana, is opened; beginning as a small branch office providing primarily water and wastewater engineering services.

1993

The McMahon Group negotiates with Robert Miller over the purchase of Miller Wagner Coenen, an Architectural Firm, including all of their assets.  The staff of Miller Wagner Coenen join the McMahon Group, and the company is named Miller Wagner Coenen / McMahon, Inc. (MWC/M).  This adds Professional Architectural Services to the McMahon Group portfolio.

1993

The McMahon Group expands by opening an office in Machesney Park, Illinois.  This office began as providing Public Works engineering, with a staff of ten.  Several Water and Wastewater Treatment Design/Build projects have resulted from this office.

1995

The McMahon Group reaches a milestone when sales exceed $10-Million, and staff size reaches 100-employees for the first time.

1995

The McMahon Group purchases, designs and builds the current Business Park, located in the Town of Menasha, Wisconsin, as well as our current Corporation Offices.

2001

The McMahon Group exceeds 150-employees.

2005 The Architectural Firm of SLaM (Sachs, Long & McMahon) is obtained by the McMahon Group of Companies; bringing additional architectural expertise and clients to the MWC/M Architectural Group.
